The Ivarsson Team is part of the larger Björkström group at the Center for Infectious Medicine, ANA Futura, Department of Medicine in Huddinge. The goal of the team is to perform world-leading research within human uterine immunology, with the aim of translating the new knowledge to clinical settings. By combining analysis on human uterine immune cells with clinical and diagnostic information, we aim to identify biomarkers that can help to determine a woman’s individual risk of suffering pregnancy complications.
We are looking to recruit a talented and ambitious research assistant who will be working with PhD students, postdocs and research midwives to investigate uterine immune cells, particularly NK cells, in the context of IVF, spontaneous bleeding during early pregnancy, and in healthy uterine tissues obtained from biopsies and abortions. A full-time position is available for 1 year. You will have the opportunity to put your experimental skills to good use, while also learning new techniques. Your experimental duties will be varied including opportunities to use cutting-edge technologies for the isolation, characterisation, preservation, and culturing of primary cells. We are looking for a flexible, highly motivated and well-organized person that must have good communication skills and ability to interact well with colleagues and collaborators.
