Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Join the Division of Molecular Neurobiology at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Campus Solna. The research group led by Professor Gonçalo Castelo-Branco investigates the molecular mechanisms shaping the transcriptomic and epigenomic states of oligodendrocyte lineage cells in neuroinflammatory and demyelinating conditions such as multiple sclerosis. We employ cutting-edge approaches, including single-cell and spatial transcriptomics/epigenomics and CRISPR-based screens using both rodent disease models and human patient material.

As our multidisciplinary team continues to grow, we are now seeking a motivated individual to support a variety of tasks within our ongoing research projects.

  • Molecular biology and cloning techniques, such as plasmid preparation (bacterial transformation, mini–maxi preps), CRISPR/Cas9 genome-editing and cloning of plasmid vectors, including PiggyBac-based systems.
  • Lentiviral vector production.
  • In vivo experimental procedures, including colony maintenance, rodent handling, perfusion, administrations via diverse routes, animal journal keeping, monitoring and reporting animal’s health status to the supervising researcher
  • Perform duties such as placing orders, maintaining laboratory premises, equipment and consumables stock
