The Division of Cervical Cancer Elimination is a face-paced research environment that combines cutting edge cancer prevention research at the national and international levels with advancing the routine cervical screening program of Sweden. As research coordinator with a background in public health and epidemiology, you are expected to contribute significant research experience in implementation science and quality assurance of prevention programs. The ideal candidate is comfortable in both healthcare and research settings and can engage a broad range of professionals in project work.

Your mission

As research coordinator at the Division of Cervical Cancer Elimination you be responsible for managing the day-to-day details of project design, implementation, evaluation, and publication for a series of regional, national, and international projects implemented with colleagues within academia and in healthcare. You will create and manage large project databases and oversee the analysis such. You will be responsible for collaborating with research contacts – regionally, nationally, and internationally – to achieve deliverables and milestones of the Divisions projects.

Your profile

To succeed in the role you need to have:

  • Doctoral level research education, preferably in epidemiology with a focus on infectious diseases and/or cancer
  • Knowledge of European and Swedish guidelines for prevention programs is required and experience working with their development is a plus
  • Proven experience with constructing, managing, and analysing large databases
  • Fluent skills in spoken and written English and Swedish 

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Leadership experience of cross-cutting groups that represent stakeholders, patient organizations, clinicians, and researchers
  • Experience with multinational research consortiums and networks, and proven leadership in these contexts
  • Analysis skills in SAS and STATA

As a research coordinator you are expected to have experience supervising students at the masters and doctoral level and you will be expected to contribute to generating revenue streams for the group through grant applications.

As a person you are comfortable with regular public speaking and has experience in presenting to both popular science and research audiences. As a person, you have good analytical skills and experience with complex, longitudinal data. As a tight knit team that works intensely in periods, personal fit with the group and dedication to the overall aim of the Division is a must.
