In our research group, you will find a unique opportunity to work closely with top researchers in neuroscience, to jointly try to understand how the immune system affects ALS disease. This project aims to discover the interplay between biomarkers and their combined predictive power for ALS prognosis and survival remains largely unexplored, to address this knowledge gap by investigating the correlations and predictive power when combining ApoB, Neurofilaments and T Cells in individuals with ALS.

Your mission

The sucessfull candidate will work autonomously to utilize the already available information from the ALSrisc case control study participants with already existing information on biomarkers.

The research coordinator will perform statistical analysis, including correlation analysis, regression models, survival analysis and cluster analysis to explore the intricate relationships between biomarkers and clinical data. The goal is to create a predictive model that combines these factors to enhance prognostic accuracy for ALS.

The position is based in Flemingsberg but about 30% will be in Solna.

Your profile

The candidate need to have good knowledge of neuroimmunology and neurology, with specific depth about the ALS disease. We are looking for someone who has very good knowledge in statistics and epidemiology.

To be eligible for the position you need to hold a PhD and be used to independent work. Good knowledge of English is a requirement.
