Do you want to contribute to better health for all?

The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution that aims to advance knowledge on how to improve population health at local, national and global level. Research at the department aims to identify the determinants of health, develop and evaluate individual and structural interventions, and provide evidence for guidelines and policy documents. Many of the department's researchers are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national and international level. The department has 10 research groups, about 100 research students and about 140 employees.

The Department of Global Public Health administratively hosts a Secretariat contributing to the development of a Centre for Global Transformation for Health – a new collaboration between Karolinska Institutet, the University of Gothenburg, Umeå University, and Uppsala University that aims to leverage Swedish universities to lead transformation for sustainable health for all.

The project is an opportunity to work with the planning of a unique change work which today includes four Swedish universities with the aim to strengthen Sweden´s voice in global health by transforming education, linking researchers, and partnering with stakeholders for sustainable health for all.

The Project Coordinator will serve as a member of the Secretariat. It currently consists of a Secretariat Manager, a Centre Developer, and a Project Manager (who will go on parental leave in July).
