The Brain, Body and Self Laboratory (Group Ehrsson) use neuroimaging and behavioral methods to study how we come to experience our own body as an object distinct from the environment. Our aim is to characterize the perceptual rules and brain mechanisms whereby a central representation of one's own body is constructed by the integration of signals from the different sensory modalities (e.g., vision, touch, and proprioception). We also investigate how the central body representation influences how we think, feel and remember ourselves, and how the external world looks to us. We are now seeking a lab coordinator / assistant in order to provide support to our ongoing projects and research.

Your mission

The main responsibility of the coordinator/assistant is to support professor Henrik Ehrsson in his administrative and research-related administrative activities. This includes various tasks such as assisting with preparing and administering grant and ethics applications, handling invoices, orders, and reimbursements, organizing travel arrangements for foreign researchers, assisting in the administrative tasks of organizing scientific meetings, administrating long-term archiving, and managing the website and social media platforms etc.

Your profile

The applicant must have an academic degree, and a background in medical sciences is a plus. The applicant must be a good team player with excellent social skills but also able to work independently. In the role of a coordinator, the applicant must have excellent organizational and administrative skills, be accurate, conscientious, and flexible, and have the ability to work under deadlines and plan their own work activities. It is a plus if the applicant has good skills in working with modern desktop computers as well as online distance work platforms.
