Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) is a national research center for molecular life sciences. At SciLifeLab, operations are focused on life science, a globally important and well-invested field of research that makes a difference in areas such as health, environment and climate, agriculture and forestry, and bioenergy. We intertwine several of the components needed to meet the societal challenges we face today: high-tech analysis methods, handling large amounts of research data and interdisciplinary collaborations. This service is connected to the joint innovation environment for the introduction of technologies to the clinic, set up by Karolinska Institutet, Karolinska University Hospital, and SciLifeLab. And since we do it with a national assignment from the government, and the activity is run as a joint university collaboration, there is no profit interest, only the endeavor to enable research that would otherwise not be feasible in Sweden.
We have established precision medicine and diagnostics as a focus area to increase our ability to make service available and link technology infrastructure, research and data-driven life science.
At the Department of Oncology-Pathology at KI, we have a strong research environment around translational cancer research and precision cancer medicine (PCM) and work to better understand the causes of cancer and to identify new diagnostics and treatments.

The position is at Karolinska Institutet (KI), at the Department of Oncology-Pathology. KI is one of the world's leading medical universities that drives the development of knowledge about life and works for better health for all. We conduct both research and teaching in close collaboration with several businesses within the Stockholm Region.

Your mission

We are looking for someone who is very driven and experienced in project management and coordination and has deep knowledge of the life science sector in Sweden. The position we offer is an exciting and responsible role within one of Europe's most prominent research environments.
The role includes identifying, establishing, coordinating and following up collaborative projects for the Swedish node of the Testing and Experimenting Facility (TEF) Health project with a specific focus on precision medicine and actors within the life science industry in Sweden and globally. The TEF-Health Swedish node is a collaboration between the Center for Imaging Research (CIR) at KI, New Karolinska Hospital, RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) and SciLifeLab. The position also includes communication and support for the SciLifeLab Precision Medicine Capability vis-à-vis industry and industry organizations, coordination with the innovation system, identification of financing opportunities and financing models as well as support for the development and establishment of general collaboration strategies within precision medicine.
The daily work takes place in close dialogue with the SciLifeLab Precision Medicine Capability and the collaboration office at the SciLifeLab Operations Office. The collaboration office focuses specifically on collaboration strategy between SciLifeLab's academic research environments and the industry and healthcare sector. You will be employed at the KI department of Oncology-Pathology, but the work will take place at SciLifeLab's office in Solna. National and international travel may occur.
