Do you want to contribute to better health and work environment for healthcare personnel?

We are looking for an ambitious postdoctoral fellow with skills in occupational epidemiological research and writing. The postdoc will perform research on occupational exposures to mental health problems in healthcare with a specific focus on work hours and shift work, as well as the psychosocial work environment.

Our multidisciplinary research group is a great place to work. We offer a dynamic, supportive and open research climate where you are encouraged to think freely and explore your ideas. This is the right place for you who want to grow from postdoc to PI.

Your mission

You will be part of a group of researchers, statisticians and doctoral students who study working conditions and health in the healthcare sector. Your main tasks are to independently draft manuscripts and lead the publication process of scientific articles from the project. You will manage study designs in communication and collaboration with the statisticians. You are expected to propose and lead further research in the area and actively seek research funding.
You are interested in making a real-world impact on occupational health. You have an open and collaborative approach to work and agree that collaboration – not competition – is what leads to success.

In addition to research, the postdoctoral position also includes

  • supervise doctoral students and master's students
  • plan and support coordination of research projects in an international environment
  • other administrative tasks

The position is a two-year fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

When assessing applicants, we place particular emphasis on scientific writing skills and personal suitability. The applicant must show documented good abilities to communicate science in speech and writing in English. You have good cooperation skills and are structured and independent.

You are experienced in carrying out statistical analyzes using one or more statistical programs. You will have statistical support from a statistician but must be able to communicate around the quantitative data (survey data or register data) and statistical designs.

You like working in groups, learning new things and can handle both short-term and long-term deadlines with clear goals. You are a problem solver who takes your own initiative.

It is also advantageous to have experience in supervising/teaching as well as in project management and responsibility within research projects.
