Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

The research at the Unit of Epidemiology, IMM, KI, is focused on advancing knowledge about disease etiology and prognosis with an emphasis on environmental and lifestyle factors, and on methodological development. The research is based on large register-based cohorts, as well as cohorts and case-control studies with extensive information from questionnaires and biological samples. The Unit currently comprises 7 senior researchers and 8 post docs, as well as 6 PhD students and a statistician. We are now looking for one additional postdoctoral researcher.

Your mission

The successful candidate is expected to conduct epidemiologic research in cancer epidemiology, focused primarily on childhood cancer, but also other areas within cancer epidemiology. We have ongoing projects, but there is also room for own research ideas, where the richness of data available offer immense possibilities. The position is for 2 years with the possibility of extension.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
