A postdoctoral position on sensorimotor integration and neural control of movement is available at the Department of Neuroscience. The project will have a particular focus on the integration of sensory feedback on movements in mice. This is a collaborative project between the labs of Abdel El Manira, Francois Lallemend and Laurence Picton and will involve multiple advanced techniques. The selected candidate will investigate the functional properties and connectivity of proprioceptive neurons and will explore proprioceptive feedback pathways in the brainstem and spinal cord. The project will involve the use of viral tracing, electrophysiology, optogenetics and behavioral analysis.
The Department of Neuroscience at KI offers a multidisciplinary and diverse research environment with a strong community and a number of leading labs in motor control neuroscience.
In this postdoctoral role you will study proprioceptive feedback pathways for motor control. The applicant should have experience working with transgenic mice, virus injections and surgeries and have a strong interest in understanding sensory feedback for mammalian motor control.
