Do you want to contribute to developing the clinical doctoral education and the integration of precision medicine in pediatric oncology? Welcome to a leading research environment in pediatric oncology at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health

Description of the subject area

Pediatric oncology research at the Division of Pediatric Oncology and Surgery, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, covers a wide range of topics and methods, ranging from preclinical cell and animal models, clinical patient-oriented research, care science research and registry studies. The Childhood Cancer Research Unit has established collaborations and strong networks with various cancer research areas at Karolinska Institutet. This provides excellent opportunities to develop innovative collaborations to develop treatments and care for children with cancer. The research groups in pediatric oncology hold strong positions both nationally and internationally.

The clinical unit at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna is one of six pediatric oncology centers in Sweden where children are investigated, treated, and followed up for all types of cancer. There is also a phase I-/IV clinical trials unit for drug trials for children with cancer and other academic clinical studies. We enjoy a close interaction with the unit for pediatric hematology and pediatric transplantations located at the Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge

Your mission
