Do you want to contribute to improving human health?

In our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely together with top researchers at the intersection of psychology and neuroscience. A current focus of Professor Emily Holmes’ research group is mental imagery and the development of innovative interventions to bolster mental health. We offer an engaging and international research environment in which you will have the opportunity to contribute to high-quality research at the highest international level in collaboration with Professor Michelle Moulds (The University of New South Wales, UNSW Sydney), Australia. The position is a full-time (100%) temporary position for 8 months.

Your mission

We are looking for a full-time postdoc to work in this clinical and experimental environment. You will work on a project investigating novel ways to use positive imagery (e.g., via brief online interventions) to improve mental health, both in individuals in the general community as well as those in vulnerable groups. You will also work (as needed) on projects being conducted by Professor Holmes which evaluate an intervention targeting memories of trauma.

Furthermore, you will work on administrative tasks associated with the research projects and support the research group leader and Professor Moulds on issues related to administration and feasibility. For example, you will participate in research documentation procedures with KI-ELN, strategies for using methods of open data and work on ethical and grant applications. You will also be involved in collaborations with other professionals involved in the projects in question.

Irregular working hours may be considered based on the needs of the data collection. You may need to travel within your service, both within and between Stockholm and Uppsala. You will attend weekly joint research group meetings.
