Your mission

We are now looking for one or two postdoctoral researchers to work on the following projects:

  • 1) Extended-Personal Reality’: augmented recording and transmission of virtual senses through artificial-IntelligENCE" (EXPERIENCE) which has received funding from the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020. EXPERIENCE’s aim is to create a new Extended-Personal Reality, allowing users to create their own virtual reality (VR) environments, embedded with virtual simulations that elicit unique psychological, cognitive, neurophysiological and behavioural responses. Our role is to explore and evaluate the possibility of using Extended Personal Reality as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for mental disorders.
  • 2) “Promoting social interaction through emOTIONal odours” (POTION) has received funding from the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020 as well. The project’s aim is to better understand human social chemosignals and how these affect social interactions in terms of approach and avoidance behaviours. Our focus is to determine if and how chemosignals, when artificially synthesized, can be used as part of the diagnosis and treatment of social anxiety and depression, with the use of an innovative odour delivery system.
  • 3) Epidemiological research in the field of suicidology and in the evaluation of suicide preventive interventions. This work includes, for example, the analysis of WHO mortality data and the production of scientific articles and reports. Moreover, it entails participating in the design and coordination of research components associated to suicide precentive activities that are ongoing in Sweden.
