Do you want to contribute to improving human health?

The position is available in the research group led by Senior Researcher Kristiina Tammimies (https://ki.se/en/kbh/tammimies-lab) at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health. The Tammimies lab focuses on understanding genetic and biological factors associated with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) such as autism spectrum disorder, and how this information can be integrated to guide clinical work. The group performs high-resolution genetic analyses in different NDD cohorts and follows-up  findings using bioinformatics approaches and cellular models. The research group is located in BioClinicum, the Karolinska University Hospital research building as part of the women/children/genetics research theme.

Your mission

We are looking for a computational postdoctoral fellow to join our international team. The postdoc will work on a large project that aims to build prediction models for neurodevelopmental disorders using clinical and genomic information. Additional projects that the postdoc can be part of include a project analyzing genetic information in intervention outcomes, genomics studies in different neurodevelopmental disorder cohorts and analyzing functional genomics data generated from patients-derived neurons.  A postdoctoral developmental plan will be prepared together with the successful candidate.

The candidate should have completed Ph.D studies within the field of Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational biology or related areas with at least two published peer-reviewed articles or manuscripts available through preprint repositories. Applicants should have excellent skills in R,Python or similar programming languages.
