Division
The research group of Neuroepidemiology are a multidisciplinary research group interested in different aspects of epidemiology of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The group includes epidemiologists, geneticists, neurologists, immunologists and mathematicians and addresses questions facing patients, physicians and researchers with an aim to forge understanding of mechanisms behind development of MS and its clinical course. We aim to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations between researchers, patients and clinicians through several national and international projects.

Duties
We are now looking for a Database coordinator to handle and organize the large datasets that we have access to within the Neuroepidemiology group. This includes data from the Swedish MS registry as well as other national and international databases. The incumbent will be working on the extraction of large datasets from the Swedish MS registry and preparation of data for analysis as well as for linkage with data from other public registries, to be used by researchers within the research group or by other researchers. The preparation of datasets will take place in collaboration with researchers and data managers within the research group. For the suitable candidate there will also be possibilities to carry out research projects in collaboration with other members of the research group.

Entry requirements
BSc in biomedicine, biology, biostatistics or statistics is required. MSc would be beneficial. The incumbent will be expected to have strong proficiency with R and SQL software for the purposes outlined for duties. Further, experience from SAS and STATA would be considered beneficial. Previous experience working with data from patient registries would be highly desirable. Familiarity with large datasets including having worked with linked data would also be advantageous. Excellent command of English is required. This position involves many collaborations with colleagues, other research groups and larger consortia and hence the ability to work with others is essential.
