We want to recruit a Biomedical Analyst to our research team of translational lung cancer research working at Department of Oncology/Pathology. We are looking for you who wants to join our team and work primarily with handling our blood samples from lung cancer patients with a focus on extracellular vesicles.

Your mission

You will be one of the key persons in our translational team working with samples from our clinical trials in lung cancer with a focus on radiotherapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors and precision cancer medicine. Your daily work will relate to preparation of blood, plasma, pleural -and bronchial fluid and to some extent tumour samples from these samples. Your focus will be on extracellular vesicle isolation and subsequent cargo analyses, but you will also take part in ex vivo culture of lung cancer cells/tissue, experimental treatments and molecular analyses of these.

Your profile

  • We are looking for you with a degree from Biomedical Analyst education or similar.
  • We want you to be independent in preparation of plasma- and tissue samples from cancer patients using standardized protocols.
  • It is meritorious if you have previous documented experience in working with DNA/RNA/protein extraction, isolation of extracellular vesicles and know methods required for vesicle analyses e.g. size exclusion chromatography, particle characterization, western blotting and mass spectrometry.
  • We also value if you are independent in ex vivo culturing of cancer cells and have experience in cell viability assessment, siRNA methodology and immunofluorescence microscopy.
  • As KI is using electronic documentation of research results in BIONOVA Notebook, we would like you to have knowledge in this, or similar software. 
  • As our team member, you will be part of our national- and international collaborations in the lung cancer field.
  • We therefore request that you can communicate in professional oral and written English.
