In our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely with top researchers and neurologists working together with a translational approach, with projects stemming from the clinic, going to pre-clinical and fundamental research, through clinical trials and back to patients. Our group aims to study ALS and PLS through different angles, from transcriptomics and proteomics to clinical trials. The present position is part of a project aiming to advance our understanding of the impact of DMQ treatment in terms of neuropsychology, neuroprotection, connectivity, metabolic signature on the ALS/ALS-FTD/PLS population. A major task for the candidate will be to contribute conceptually as well as methodologically, to the research activities planned within this project, under the supervision of Dr Caroline Ingre. In addition, there are possibilities to initiate individual research projects, based on the candidate´s interests. Production of reports and publications for submission to peer-reviewed journals, and other forms of dissemination will be central activities. The candidate will also be engaged in writing applications for funding. The candidate will also be engaged in the overall communication for the team (web-page, outreach, seminars, journal club, etc.).
The position will be based in Solna, but work will also be carried out in Flemingsberg and at the trial unit hosting the majority of our clinical studies at Sabbatsberg. This is a 2-year full-time position, with the possibility of extension.

Merits
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
