Do you want to contribute to improving human health?
Karolinska Institutet and five other Swedish universities are building a National E-infrastructure for Aging Research (NEAR) with the ultimate goal of facilitating aging research in Sweden, fostering international collaboration, and enhancing the quality and impact of scientific research. Ultimately, by empowering aging research in Sweden, NEAR will contribute to identifying sustainable intervention strategies that will help to achieve better health and care for older adults. NEAR consists of 15 databases derived from longitudinal cohort studies located in different geographical areas in Sweden.
The person appointed to this position will play a central role in the NEAR team and will be responsible for all activities that promote NEAR research and increase the visibility of the infrastructure to the national and international scientific community, government officials, and the general public. The scientific communicator will be responsible for (1) producing and distributing written material, (2) communicating with staff and users to keep them abreast of important updates, (3) maintaining content on the NEAR website, and (4) producing social media content. You will also be responsible for arranging and coordinating various projects and meetings.
We are looking for a scientific communicator to join the NEAR team. We need a person who is well-organized and has a scientific background. The ideal candidate also has a strong interest in science, wants to help scientists establish larger multidisciplinary collaborations, and enjoys disseminating and implementing research findings outside academia.
