The Department has approximately 540 employees and a revenue 2023 of 530 million SEK. It comprises seven divisions, located at Campus Flemingsberg and Campus Solna.

Division
The Division of Physiotherapy has the main mission of conducting education and research in physiotherapy. Education is conducted at undergraduate, advanced and research level. The division has about 40 employees and 20 registered PhD students. The division is in an expansive phase in terms of both education and research. We now want to expand the division with a 2 year Senior Researcher position.

Duties
The Senior Researcher will be responsible for leadership of specific research projects and expected to collaborate with the research group on related projects, across the broad research area of return to health-promoting leisure time physical activity participation after musculoskeletal injury. Specifically, the Senior Researcher will be responsible for leading a project testing the effectiveness of a custom-built smartphone application “Back in the Game” for improving return to health-promoting levels of leisure time physical activity and participation after knee injury. The Senior Researcher may also teach students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and be responsible for supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Entry requirements
A person is eligible to be appointed Senior Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after publicly defending his or her doctoral thesis corresponding to qualification as Assistant professor.
The candidate must demonstrate extended knowledge within the research area proven by scientific publications, conference presentations and references. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
