Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Medical Inflammation Research (https://ki.se/en/mbb/division-of-immunology) is a research group led by Rikard Holmdahl within the division of Immunology and under the department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics.  Our main emphasis is on autoimmune diseases, using mouse models for arthritis as a prototype disease. We have positioned major genetic polymorphism causing arthritis and are now investigated their molecular pathophysiologic mechanisms. New diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are developed with the aim to transfer the knowledge into clinical use. The laboratory and the connected animal house is organized for performing the outlined work. Today the research group consists of 2 PhD students and 5 postdocs. In this environment many PhD students and postdocs have been educated and are now in career positions in academia or pharma industry.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

We are looking for a postdoc to join the Medical Inflammation Research group. We suggest a project to analyze the NCF1 mediated regulation and antigen-selection of   B suppressor cells (see Aoun et al JEM 2023). This will involve identification of the B cell VDJ repertoire for B suppressor cells at different tissue locations.
