At the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, Solna, we conduct research on diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, including inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases. The Division of Rheumatology offers good opportunities for clinical research on large and unique patient groups from the clinic along with biomedical and experimental animal research.

Your mission

Your duties will be to assist lab management within our research group and  work in research projects within immune-mediated diseases e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis (LN), and partly their coordination. Biostatistics and bioinformatics will be a central part of the work and will inter alia include regression analyses and in silico models for prediction of response to therapy and long-term outcomes. 

Your profile

We are seeking you who are prone to take initiative and have a genuine will to contribute to research and education activities within inflammation and autoimmunity. Ability to understand and speak Swedish is an advantage, at least at a basic level. English at a level of proficiency is a requirement. We highly value personality and professionality attributes. We also value previous experience in the aforementioned work requirements, especially previous research in autoimmunity and SLE. Expertise in R and SPSS for biostatistics is a requirement, in particular for predictions models.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group Per-Johan Jakobsson, team Ioannis Parodis. The work touches on various aspects of autoimmunity and SLE.
