The Department of Medicine, Solna, is one of the largest departments at Karolinska Institutet. The department consists of several units that are separated into different research groups. The core activities of the department are research, doctoral education and undergraduate education for medical and biomedical students. The research has three main profiles: allergy, cardiovascular medicine and inflammatory diseases.

Your mission

The senior researcher will be involved in developing and acquiring externally funded projects. He or she will lead an independent research group within dermatology

Your profile

Internationally visible publication track record, previous success in acquiring externally funded research projects, leadership qualification, specialist in dermato-venereology and basic science background.

A person is eligible to be appointed Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after the defense of his or her doctoral thesis.

Bases of assessment

Internationally visible publication track record, previous success in acquiring externally funded research projects, leadership qualification, specialist in dermato-venereology and basic science background.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the division of dermatology. The group is interested in monogenetic skin diseases, wound healing and skin diseases associated to a disturbed epidermal differentiation. We are looking for a candidate from the field of medicine who has completed PhD as well as postdoctoral fellowship and builds up his or her own team.
