Division
There is an open research assistant position for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual in the Research Group of Experimental Audiology at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

The laboratory of Experimental Audiology studies the effects of noise and drug toxicity on the auditory system and aims at finding new means of protecting against hearing loss. The group is also interested in understanding tinnitus and the underlying mechanisms responsible for this auditory disturbance.

Duties
The research assistant will be involved in a project that focuses on characterizing how circadian rhythms influence hearing function. To study these events we use a multidisciplinary approach that includes whole animal physiology (mice), light and confocal techniques and immunocytochemistry.

Entry requirements
Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in animal handling, physiology and histology. Experience with confocal microscopy is a merit. Preference will also be given to applicants with the necessary animal certificates needed for working with experimental animals.
