The Department is organized in 10 divisions: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Surgery, Neuropediatrics, Pediatric Oncology, Neonatology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Neuropsychiatry (KIND), Reproductive and Perinatal Health. The divisions have separate scientific profiles and vary in size and have several research groups, dealing with both basic and clinical science.

Division
Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet (KIND). KIND is a competence center for research, development, and education within the area of developmental psychopathology. The center is established in collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm County Council aiming at improving generating high-end basic research, clinical practice, and spread new knowledge to stakeholders.

We are looking for a research assistant for a temporary employment according to LAS 5§ p1 for part-time 30-40% for approximately 1 year. Temporary employment means that you will work for short periods at a time that you and the supervisor decides. Start for this position is during spring 2019.

Duties
We are seeking a highly motivated person for a part-time position as a research assistant within a project on the link between Autism and synesthesia. The position focuses foremost on data analysis within R and additionally includes helping with recruitment, data acquisition and data handling. The successful applicant will have the possibility to investigate a self-defined research question based on the dataset.

Duties include:
-        Data processing and analyses in R
-        Data handling and organization in Excel
-        Helping with participant recruitment
-        Helping with data acquisition

Entry requirements 
We are looking for an ambitious research assistant with enthusiasm for psychiatric research. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with a background in either neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, visual sciences, linguistics, cognitive sciences or a similar field. Previous experience with data analyses in R or programming in Matlab, Python, or a similar programming language is highly advantageous. Both, independence and the ability to work in a team are essential. Skills in Excel and being fluent in both English and Swedish are requirements. Previous research experience and Master’s degree are not requirements but meriting.
