At the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology we teach and conduct internationally acclaimed, high-quality research in Physiology, Pharmacology, Anesthesiology and Intensive care. We have around 400 employees, 30 research groups, and 90 doctoral students. Division
The Administrative Division consists of ten employees with responsibility within HR, finance, communication and other internal services. Our goal is to provide the Department support and service to ensure that research and education can be performed in the best possible way.

Duties
As Research grant coordinator you will assist the department's researchers in identifying, applying and coordinating external research funding opportunities. You will assist with text processing and have the administrative responsibility that the applications will be properly designed and to reach the grant donors in time.

An important part of the work is to communicate with funders and project partners in in close cooperation with the principal investigators/ researchers, Grants Office and the department's other administration staff and management. We therefore see that you have knowledges of the specific submission policies and requirements that follows each grant.

You will also assist clinical researchers to set up human ethical applications, study protocols and other formal documentation needed to receive ethical and legal approval to launch translational and clinical studies.

Qualifications
We are looking for a person with experience in similar work in Life Science. You have the appropriate degree and/or have worked with research administration. You should have very good administrative skills and be able to structure your work.

Very good English language skills are required, orally and in writing. You can with ease proofread and assess English popular science text. You should be able to work in a deadline-driven environment. PhD degree and experience of research is a merit.

The work requires accuracy, responsibility and a sense of service. You should have the ability to build good relationships and be able to work in collaboration with the Administrative Division to accomplish the goals of the Department. Special emphasis will be put on personal suitability.
