A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Professor Molly Stevens in the Division of Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics (MBB). The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary research team with a translational profile, aimed at developing biomimetic and multifunctional materials systems designed to promote cell and tissue regeneration.
The position is available for 1 year with the possibility for extension. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of biomaterials designed to effect cell and tissue regeneration for multiple tissue types. The researcher will be expected to fabricate new materials and material constructs for the delivery of biomolecules and tissue engineering, to investigate the physical and chemical properties of materials constructs, to develop materials functionalised with biological cues and test their influence on tissue construct performance, and to assess the performance of the engineered systems in vitro and in vivo. The researcher will be offered extensive opportunities for collaborative work, both within KI and externally to the group of Molly Stevens at Imperial College in London and elsewhere.
Division
The lab of Molly Stevens is part of the Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine division of MBB. For more information see www.stevensgroup.org and www.ki.se/mbb.
