Together with Prof Birgitta Henriques-Normark and her team, the appointed lab manager will study bacterial, and host factors important for development of pneumococcal invasive disease with a focus on pneumonia and septicemia. Both in vitro cell culture models and in vivo models and different omics approaches (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics etc) will be used. The senior lab manager will also be responsible for the in vivo work in the research group including administrative tasks.
