Research assistant to HERM – Hematology and Regenerative Medicine - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Woll group at HERM (Hematology and Regenerative Medicine) is now looking for a Research assistant to join the group until the end of the year.

Division 
HERM was established in 2012 and holds excellent facilities for translational research, and is the home of 14 research groups mixing clinical and basic science. HERM is a unit within the Department of Medicine, Huddinge at the Karolinska Institutet at the Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge site.

The research group
The Woll group studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms promoting establishment of leukemic stem cells, through complementary studies in mouse models and human leukemia patients.

Duties
The Research assistant would be mainly assisting senior postdoc and PhD student in conducting basic cell and molecular biology experiments. These include – but are not limited to – flow cytometry analysis and cell sorting, in vitro cell culture of cell lines and primary hematopoietic cells, droplet-digital PCR assays, and preparation of next-generation DNA and RNA sequencing libraries.

Experience and competence
We are looking for a person with experience in basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques.

Qualifications
The person must be able to work dynamically in the research group. Excellent knowledge in the English language is of outmost importance. The application will be assessed on basis of the technical competence, as well as past lab experience. Personal suitability will be a strong selection criterion.
