Department of Medicine, Solna, Clinical Epidemiology division

The Department of Medicine, Solna, is one of the largest departments at Karolinska Institutet. The department consists of several divisions that are separated into different research groups. The core activities of the department are research, doctoral education and undergraduate education for medical and biomedical students. The research has three main profiles: allergy, cardiovascular medicine and inflammatory diseases.

Division
The Clinical Epidemiology division is one of the divisions at the Department of Medicine, Solna with around 50 employees and 60 affiliated researchers or PhD students. The majority of the researchers are clinically active.

We have a strong collaboration with clinical departments including obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics and other national and international research groups. The group has extensive experience in perinatal outcomes research using advanced methods in biostatistics and clinical epidemiology.
