Division
The postdoctoral position will be placed at the Division of Psychology in the joint lab of M Olsson and J Lundström. The division has a wide range of research groups from preclinical to clinical and also hosts the Psychology program (see https://ki.se/en/cns/the-division-of-psychology). Research in the joint lab of Olsson and Lundström focuses on human olfaction and multisensory perception.

Duties
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the joint lab and have the opportunity to develop projects within the labs or collaborative projects with the many scientists at our department. You are expected to launch and perform studies involving human participants in order to collect and analyze data relevant for specific research questions. One central topic for the position is disease perception – how can we perceive that people are sick and what are the physiological and behavioral consequences for the observer? Other related topics can be discussed.

Entry requirements
Eligible candidates for this position should have a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field with a demonstrated record of productivity in human experimental research including behavioral or physiological testing of, for instance, multisensory and/or chemosensory perception. Previous relevant postdoctoral experience is an advantage. Proficiency in English is a requirement as are documented skills in independent and collaborative work. Knowledge of Swedish is not a requirement but a merit. Qualified to be employed as a postdoctoral researcher is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence.

An employment application must contain the following documents in English or Swedish:

  1. A complete curriculum vitae, including date of the thesis defence, title of the thesis, previous academic positions, academic title, current position, academic distinctions, and committee work
  2. A complete list of publications
  3. A summary of current work (no more than one page)
  4. Verifications for crediting of illness, military service, work for labour unions or student organisations, parental leave or similar circumstances
