Within the Center for Infectious Medicine (CIM), you get a unique opportunity to work closely together with researchers in an engaging and international research environment. Here you can contribute to high-quality research by being part of the unit's support Team for the researchers. CIM has 16 research groups and is located within Karolinska Institutet's newly established research facility, ANA Futura, which offers excellent infrastructure at the forefront of research.

Your mission

We are looking for a lab manager to lead the work in the support Team at CIM. The Support team has a critical function in ensuring that CIM is a well-functioning state-of-the art research facility. You will have a manager role and work closely together with a laboratory technician to provide organizational, logistical and administrative support to our researchers. As a lab manager you will plan and lead the work within the CIM Support Team and in a service-oriented manner integrate the Support Team into CIM's basic operations/research environment. Your role will be to ensure that the unit is stocked and have well-organized functional laboratories, as well as that the unit operates in accordance with current working and safety regulations (chemical and biosafety).

Your profile

We are looking for you who have:

  •  A background from a relevant discipline such as biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology etc.
  • Previous experience working in the laboratory setting.
  • Previous experience working as a lab manager is a merit.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, written and spoken.
  • Previous experience working with biosafety aspects, ordering system Agresso and chemical inventory using the KLARA systems is a merit. 

As a person, you are structured and have good communication skills. You enjoy working in a dynamic and international milieu, both independently and in a team. You are thorough in your work, the documentation, and the planning of it.

Emphasis will be on personal skills such as taking responsibility, flexibility, teamwork, problem solving; all in a service-oriented way.
