About CFG.

CFG (https://www.scilifelab.se/units/crispr-functional-genomics/) is a national SciLifeLab facility based at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics in Biomedicum at Solna campus. We apply high-throughput CRISPR technologies to support the Swedish research community in the design, execution, and interpretation of CRISPR-based functional genomic experiments.

Your mission

You will support our team with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and more specialized tasks such as lentiviral work, cell sorting, and NGS library preparation. You will also be responsible for smooth lab operation, ordering, chemical inventory, risk assessments, biosafety, and waste management.

Your profile

Candidates must hold a university degree in a relevant subject (BSc or MSc). Prior extensive experience in mammalian cell culture is a requirement. Documented prior experience in practical execution of CRISPR-Cas9-based pooled genetic screening and other genome-editing techniques is a significant advantage. A full grasp of standard molecular biology techniques is expected. Familiarity with lentiviral tools, flow cytometry and cell sorting are of merit. We work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent time management and research documentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, are essential.
