Within our group the research extends widely from basic to clinical research, which facilitates the translation of basic findings into clinical, in order to discover prospective therapies for neurological diseases and neuropsychiatric diseases. The duties include genotyping of animal models of neurodegenerative disorders, behaviour tests, in vivo neurotransmission recording. The applicant will provide technical support and help in the group.
The applicant should have a Ph.D. in the field of neuroscience and skills in animal work and electrophysiology. Experience in genotyping, basic scientific surgery such as 6-OHDA unilateral lesioning, biosensor implantation for freely-moving basic scientific experiments, behaviour tests such as locomotion, forced-swim test, passive avoidance test, elevated plus maze test and light dark box test. Applicants would also benefit from having previous experience with molecular and electrophysiological techniques. Good communication skills and proficiency in both spoken and written English is highly preferred.
