Research assistant in histology

You are welcomed to join our research group working to understand the function of the immune system in cardiometabolic disease. As a part of a well-established larger network of researchers in we focus on identifying early disease mechanisms and novel therapeutic targets. 

Your mission

You would be responsible for the sectioning and analysis of organs. The position has flexible working hours and is for 6-months full time or equivalent.

Your profile

There are No formal academic requirements but previous documented experience in cryostat and microtone sectioning is required. Knowledge in common staining protocols such as H&E and Oil Red O would be advantageous.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of ten divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group of Associate Professor Stephen Malin within the division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
