At the Clinical Epidemiology Division, one of our research groups works with clinical epidemiological research on rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic inflammatory diseases, in close collaboration with translational and clinical rheumatology researchers at the department, at KI at large, nationally and internationally. Our work focuses on models for personalized treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. We use a combination of data from registers, clinical, genetic, serological and lifestyle data, and advanced computational models.
We are now recruiting a database coordinator to establish and administer a data warehouse for our various research data collections, and for extractions of data for various research projects from these sources.
The candidate will create an overarching structure for the reconciliation of our rheumatological research data collections. You will, once the overarching structure is in place, curate the data and be responsible for the management and extraction of data for our various research projects in collaboration with our researchers and external collaborators. You will be a key role player in the management of our data and the position will allow you to work in a multinational and clinically oriented research setting where you will have the opportunity to contribute to, and follow the development of, new principles for therapy and prevention of rheumatic diseases.
The successful candidate has an education in, and a couple of years of work experience with, database management, data analysis (including data cleaning), bioinformatics, biostatistics, health informatics or similar. Hands on experience of working with research and/or medical/clinical data management is a requirement. Previous experience of working with relational databases or similar is considered a merit. You are structured and organized in your work and know the importance of documentation to ensure traceability. As the work involves working closely with, and assisting researchers with data management and data extractions, you are service-oriented and fluent in English (oral and written). Experience of Linux, SAS, Python and/or R is considered a merit, but is not a specific requirement. Emphasis will be put on communication skills and personal suitability.
