The Prof. Le Blanc group at Karolinska Institute is seeking a postdoctoral scientist for studies focusing on the immunomodulatory properties of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). The research spans from answering both basic science questions to analysing samples from patients receiving MSC therapy as treatment of immune related diseases.
Our group is devoted to establishing adoptive transfer of MSCs as an Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) and in understanding MSC mode of action in humans. The interaction of MSCs with adaptive and innate immune cells is central in our research.
Our laboratory provides a stimulating and scientifically rigorous translational environment for scientific growth and fosters the independent careers of postdoctoral trainees. Our research is published in reputed scientific journals. The Prof. Le Blanc lab is part of a vibrant research community at ANA Futura and the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Flemingsberg.
