Do you want to play a part in research on SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19? We are looking for a motivated individual that can provide laboratory support in our BSL3 facility.
Your mission will be to assist investigators in COVID-19-related projects at the Biomedicum BSL3 facility. These tasks include generation of SARS-CoV-2 stocks, quantification of SARS-CoV-2 by plaque assay and performing in vitro infection assays. The role also includes to participate in the daily running of the BSL3 facility, including waste handling, technical support and introduction and training of users.
The applicant must have a background in infection biology and experience in handling infectious agents in BSL3.
Previous experience in sterile techniques and tissue culture work is also important. Doctoral and postdoctoral training is considered a strong merit.
Personal qualities are very important as the role requires interaction with investigators and staff in a highly regulated environment.
