Within the Health Informatics Centre that are a part of the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics you will have the opportunity to perform research and education in several areas of health informatics in multi-disciplinary teams. Your mission

The position will be divided between teaching (60%) and research (40%). The candidate is sought to teach in the Global Master’s Programme in Health Informatics and to perform own research in health informatics. Teaching subjects will include health informatics standardization as well as courses related to current research topics in health informatics where the applicant can bring in their own research profile as well as supervise master students in their thesis work.

Your profile

A person is eligible to be appointed Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after publicly defending his or her doctoral thesis corresponding to qualification as Assistant professor.

Bases of assessment

Both pedagogical and scientific expertise will be most important when assessing applicants.

The applicant’s PhD degree should be in health or medical informatics or computer science with healthcare as application area. The applicant should have good knowledge of health informatics standardisation and a research focus in one of the following areas – machine learning and artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical research informatics and/or Internet of Things and data integration. The applicant needs to be fluent in English, speaking and writing. Good communication skills in Swedish or another Scandinavian language are wanted but not mandatory. Experience in health informatics education as well as good pedagogical skills are required. Applicants should preferably have been the principal recipients of research funding and have the potential to secure further funding within his/her research area. Applicants should have some collaboration and leadership experience.
