Division
Christian Rück’s research group in the Division for Psychiatry focuses on making a difference for psychiatric patients by:
We have aggregated rich phenotypic data on 4000 patients treated with CBT and are also part of a large NIH-funded study (NORDiC) on the genetics of OCD and related disorders. Professors James Crowley and Manuel Matheisen are affiliated to the group and we work very closely with Prof. David Mataix-Cols’ and Prof. Patrick Sullivan’s groups at Karolinska Institutet. We now want to add a post-doc to our trans-disciplinary team.
Duties
We are looking for an individual who can manage, analyze and QC GWAS and other genomics data together with our partners. The successful applicant is expected to take the lead on specific projects in in our larger project on treatment response in CBT where now data on 4000 individuals have been gathered including genetics, phenotypic data over multiple time-points and register data. The applicant would also be deeply involved in the NORDiC study to answer questions about disorder ethiology. This is a unique and growing dataset. Another data source is the Swedish Twin Registry with multiple cohorts with relevant data regarding OCD and related disorders. The applicant would also be involved in the numerous consortia and collaborations that we take part in and experience in such processes is valuable.
Entry requirements
The applicant should have obtained a PhD in in epidemiology, bioinformatics, genetics, or directly related field. The applicant should have formal training in genetics and analysis of genetic data, demonstrated past experience in QC, imputation, and analysis of modern, “omic” scale genetic data and knowledge of estimation and analysis of genetic risk scores together with clinical data
The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to design studies and carry out statistical analyses, prepare manuscripts for publication and present the work at scientific meetings. The applicant should have experience in conducting genetic research studies of psychiatric disorders.
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence.
