The division of Dermatology and Venereology within the Department of Medicine, Solna, Karolinska Institutet, studies skin diseases: their pathogenesis, their consequences, and how they can be treated. As a postdoctoral researcher in our group, you will study psoriasis and its consequences for health, quality of life, and costs. Specifically, you will work on structuring and implementing analyses using data from registry-based studies and cohort studies, as well as reporting the results, for example in peer-reviewed publications. You will generate and structure your own code as well as use existing frameworks. Project data include biomarkers, patient-reported data, clinician-reported data, and data from national health registers. You will work independently with study design, programming, analysis, and reporting, with input from experts in clinical, biomedical, and statistical aspects.
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a background in the analysis of longitudinal health data. You should have substantial experience in structuring datasets from multiple sources to enable analysis. You are expected to have strong analytical skills and prior experience with relevant types of data, including registry linkage, data management, and analysis - preferably in Stata – as existing code is available in this software. Furthermore, good familiarity with scientific reporting and writing is important, as you are expected to draft scientific manuscripts. Strong English skills, both written and spoken, are required. We are looking for a person who demonstrates initiative, has a strong attention to detail, and can work independently. To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

The position is located within the research group Liv Eidsmo at the division of Dermatology and Venereology. The division conducts biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on skin diseases.
