Our research team at the Department of Oncology-Pathology is working to develop and evaluate the use of AI algorithms to improve breast cancer screening and diagnostics. The team announces a scholarship for a student at one of the universities within the Stockholm Trio for the spring semester 2025.

Duties

Qualifications:

You must:

  • Be a master's or master's student at one of the universities in the Stockholm Trio in a relevant subject.
  • Carry out your student work during the spring semester 2025 in the subject of artificial intelligence and radiological breast cancer diagnosis at an activity level of 30 percent.

Meritorious:

  • Higher quality of your project plan regarding scientific level and feasibility

Entry requirements

One of the following criteria must be met to be eligible to receive a scholarship in undergraduate education:

  • Admitted and registered in Ladok for education at basic level or advanced level at KI
  • Admitted and registered for education at first level or advanced level at a university with which KI has a partnership.

These scholarships aim to give undergraduate or advanced level students early practical experience of research work to strengthen the link between education and research and encourage future studies at postgraduate level. The scholarships can either be awarded for studies within an existing course, or for a shorter period of practical research experience documented through an individual study plan/research plan for admitted undergraduate or advanced students.

The scholarships are established for a maximum of 12 months, spread over a maximum of four courses/periods.

Location: Solna. This position will be part of Fredrik Strand research group.

  • A summary of current work (maximum one page)

This position will be a part time position for 30 %.
