Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

At the Clinical Epidemiology Division, one of our research groups work with clinical epidemiological research on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other chronic inflammatory diseases, in close collaboration with translational and clinical researchers. Our work focuses on models for personalized treatment of RA. We use a combination of register-, clinical, genetic, serological and lifestyle data in advanced computational models. We are now recruiting a postdoc to our team to work with prediction models of various clinical outcomes in RA.

Your mission

The candidate will work within our international collaborations with a focus on developing models for precision medicine in RA. The candidate will use our existing data collections and apply machine learning (ML) models in a multimodal approach with the aim to improve disease outcomes in RA.

Your profile

The successful candidate has a background in, and previous experience with, computationally intense methods, ML and prediction modeling, through a PhD or a MSc. Application of these methods to medical data is considered a merit, so is experience with artificial intelligence. Experience of real-world data and data management is a requirement and you have formal training in, and experience of, statistical analyses.

The candidate is proficient in several programming languages, where R, SAS, Python and Bash-scripting are considered strong merits, you also know how to work in a Linux environment and with parallelization of your code.

The successful candidate enjoys working in an interdisciplinary team, is organized, structures and documents the code, and works with version control. Within the department and KI, you will be interacting also with translational RA researchers. As the candidate will be working as part of a team with several international connections, emphasis is put on communication skills and personal suitability. Fluency in English (oral and written) is a requirement.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required.
