The Department of Biosciences and Nutrition performs research and education in several areas of
medical science including aging, Alzheimer, biomaterial, molecular endocrinology, cancer biology,
functional genomics, systems biology, epigenetics, structural biochemistry, bioorganic chemistry,
immunology, and nutrition. It offers an excellent international research and working environment,
including around 250 scientists, students, administrative and technical personnel. The Department
resides in Neo at Campus Flemingsberg, a biomedical research building, aimed at being a creative and open environment that enables meetings, synergies, and exploration of areas of mutual interest across disciplines.

Your mission

The successful candidate will lead and finalize an ongoing project using advanced multiparametric quantitative live cell imaging combined with advanced multivariate statistics and mathematical modeling (systems microscopy) to analyze cell migration

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having equivalent scientific expertise, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation. The candidate must also display successful postdoctoral training in systems microscopy.

A documented and extensive experience and high skills in all the areas of project theory and methodology is required, including: Live cell confocal imaging, FRET and traction force microscopy imaging and analysis, cell biology of cell adhesion and migration, advanced multivariate statistics, as well as mathematical modeling. Extensive experience using MATLAB for quantitative image analysis. Further, excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
