At our Laboratory of Translational Fertility Preservation at Karolinska Institute we aim to overcome infertility in young patients after cancer treatment. Our group conducts translational research in close collaboration with the clinicians of Karolinska University Hospital.

Your Profile
The successful candidate should have a strong background in reproductive biology research, with several years of experience in the field of reproductive biology and relevant publications. The research work focuses on experimental research on fertility preservation and testicular toxicity induced by cancer treatment. In vitro culture methods will be used. The work encompasses developing protocols for culture and to improve existing protocols aimed at increasing survival of testicular cells in experimental culture.
A broad hands-on experience in cell- and molecular methods, particularly with testis culture is important. Experience from working with mouse models is a plus as well as experience from handling relevant material from other species.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong interest in novel technologies.
We expect the candidate to be an independent worker but with very good collaboration skills.
The employment is a temporary position for the duration of 24 months.
Other requirements
Fluency in English (oral and written) is a requirement.

To be eligible for the position, you must have obtained a doctorate or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctorate. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) start date of the post-doctoral education.
