Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

The Rydén and Mejhert lab aims to understand how alterations in human white adipocyte function is related to cardiometabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, and coronary sclerosis. Our group consists of 15-20 members (senior researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD/master students, and technical staff) and has all the necessary infrastructure to conduct translational research including a fully equipped preclinical laboratory at NEO and a clinical research unit at the Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge

Your mission

We are recruiting a research assistant to work on a systems biology project where we aim to define the cellular landscape of human white adipose tissue in health and disease. The project is ongoing, but important tasks such as data integration of single-cell, single-nucleus and spatial transcriptomics remain.

Your profile

The person appointed should have a master degree in the field of biology/medicine but with a strong bioinformatic background proven e.g. by co-authorships on recent scientific publications. The applicant’s bioinformatic skills should include knowledge in common programming languages such as R and Python as well as operative systems such as Linux. It is a clear strength if the applicant has experience in analyzing transcriptional data with single-cell resolution. Good knowledge in English, written and spoken, is a requirement.
