Aging Research Center (ARC)is one of the divisions at the Department of NVS. ARC conducts research in psychology, sociology, and various branches of medicine (e.g., neurology, epidemiology, psychiatry, and geriatrics). Senior researchers, postdocs, doctoral students, and guest researchers are all represented at ARC. Unique resources ‒ such as several large prospective studies, nationwide research registries, record linkage capabilities, and access to clinical and biological data ‒ are available at the center.
We are looking for you who are interested in studying the complexity of aging and age-related disorders, including dementia. In this position as research assistant you will be assisting researchers at the Aging Research Center (ARC) and will be part of the data collection activities in the Swedish National study of aging and care in Kungsholmen (SNAC-K). We are looking for a highly motivated research assistant that will be working under the main supervision of Professor Laura Fratiglioni within the research area of geriatric epidemiology, with special focus on clinical aspects.
The successful candidate is expected to play a critical role in the data collection and data cleaning. The candidate will be also involved in basic scientific activities such data analysis and data report.
The successful candidate is expected (1) to have a medical degree with clinical experience in Geriatrics; (2) to have good communication skills and ability to interact effectively and productively with other researchers in the team; (3) to demonstrate the proficiency in English language; (4) to demonstrate proficiency in Swedish language.
