The Department is organized in 10 divisions: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Surgery, Neuropediatrics, Pediatric Oncology, Neonatology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Neuropsychiatry (KIND), Reproductive and Perinatal Health. The divisions have separate scientific profiles and vary in size and have several research groups, dealing with both basic and clinical science.

Division
The areas of research in the Division of Obetstrics and Gynecology includes the research conducted by the research group at the WHO collaborating centre for Research and Research Training in Human Reproduction. One of the main areas for the group is the development of safe abortion methods, contraceptive methods and implementation of comprehensive abortion care in a Global Health perspective.

Duties 
The project relevant to this postdoctoral position aims to research and develop new models of care for safe abortion and contraception with a focus on women in low-resource settings and/or with restricted access to safe abortion. The applicant should be a certified obstetrician/gynaecologist or midwife. The applicant should have experience of independently performed research and policy work as well as development of research projects and applications for research grants, including study design and study procedures within the research field described above. The applicant should further have experience in clinical work and research in, or relevant to, low-resource settings. The applicant should have skills in epidemiological research and have computer programming skills in STATA, SAS and SPSS. The applicant should be independent but able to work well in a team. Language competency in Spanish, Portuguese or Swahili is an asset.

Entry requirements
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence.
