The Andersson-Rolf lab is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic lab manager to join our team.
Join the Andersson-Rolf lab to investigate the role of cell identity in bridging developmental mechanisms with those underlying adult pancreatic regeneration and pathology. By developing and applying primary human adult and fetal pancreatic organoid models in combination with (spatial)omics, genome- and bioengineering we seek to leverage insights from developmental biology to decipher the mechanisms of adult pancreatic regeneration and disease.
The Andersson Rolf lab is part of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics (MBB), one of the largest departments at Karolinska Institutet.
MBB performs basic research and education in neuroscience, cell biology, molecular and genome biology, cancer biology, as well as stem cell and developmental biology to understand fundamental cellular processes and how dysfunction in these processes can cause disease. MBB is located in the beautiful new Biomedicum research center, along with four other departments. You will join a vibrant community of over a thousand researchers, with outstanding facilities and a wide range of talents. Biomedicum is situated close to both the Karolinska University Hospital (for clinical collaborations) and the Science for Life Laboratory, a national research infrastructure of unique technologies.
We are looking for a highly engaged, well organised, flexible and curious team player who is willing to lead organisational tasks as well as contribute to the lab’s ongoing research.
As a lab manager you will work in close collaboration with the PIs, PhD students, postdocs, and other researchers to help shape a well-functioning collaborative laboratory environment. You will to contribute the following:
You will collaborate closely with experts in organoid technology and bioengineering, contribute to general team tasks, and work in a highly interdisciplinary, diverse and international environment. The working language is English.
We are looking for a motivated, creative, and curious colleague with good communication and organisational skills who enjoys working with people and take pride in delivering work of good quality. We are looking for someone who wants to stay with us long term.
