The position is located within the The Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery (MMK). The department carries out preclinical and clinical research within numerous fields. Linked to the department are approximately 600 researchers, postgraduate students, teachers and technical and administrative staff.

Your mission

The Research engineer will join our dynamic Stockholm-based research team and play a vital role in the discovery and evaluation of new therapeutic biological products in a group of experienced scientists focusing on translational immunology. We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive, passionate, and collaborative individual who shares our determination to solve problems in medicine.

As a Research engineer you are responsible for: 

  • Responsible for adherence to safety and quality laboratory practices of the lab staff
  • Plan, execute, and document in vitro experiments following standard operating procedures
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and quality control
  • Actively monitor and maintain the lab inventory
  • Support purchasing of reagents and tracking of biological samples
  • Create and update documentation in support of all operational aspects of a laboratory
  • Interact and collaborate with scientists in the lab

Your profile

For what we are looking for you must have:

  • Master’s degree in a technical/science discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience 
  • Proven expertise of working in accordance to GLP and GMP
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Experience in Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) laboratory organization Technical proficiency in cell-based in vitro assays 
  • Experience in writing/revising SOPs
  • Over 2 years´ experience of working with single cell genomics or multiparameter flow cytometry
