Research assistant in Systems Neuroscience

The Meletis laboratory studies the role of circuits and neuron subtypes in motivated behaviors using optogenetics, transcriptomics, whole-brain viral tracing, behavior, imaging and electrophysiology.

Your mission

The aim of the project is to define the role of neurons in circuits that regulate motivated behaviors and are altered in mood disorders or addiction. The research assistant will have the opportunity to learn and apply state-of-the-art data analysis, and will use a range of statistical and computational methods to investigate the functional role of neuron subtypes for the evaluation and selection of actions and decision-making strategies.

Your profile

The applicant should have extensive training and experience in advanced statistics, data analysis, signal processing, image processing, machine learning, and excellent knowledge of MATLAB and Python.
